What information we collect through pg-core.com, our sales and support, and our software, and how we use it.

Last updated 2026-10-16

Draft for legal review. This text is not yet in effect and will change before launch.

Paradigm Geospatial, Inc. (“Paradigm”, “we”, “us”) makes desktop software for land surveying and reality capture. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website (pg-core.com), our sales, licensing and support, and the Paradigm Geospatial desktop apps.

The short version

  • The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising, and loads nothing from other companies’ servers until you start a purchase, when Paddle’s checkout opens.
  • The apps run on your own computer and contain no usage analytics, telemetry or crash uploading. Your projects, scans, drawings and documents stay there unless you send them somewhere.
  • Optional cloud AI features send the content you choose to Anthropic, using your own Anthropic account and API key.
  • We do not sell personal information.

1. The website

Our web server records standard request details (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure. We keep these logs for [30] days. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and serves its fonts and images itself.

2. When you contact us

If you email sales, support or partnerships, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in the message, and we use it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.

3. Purchases

Online orders are processed by our reseller, Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record. When you click a buy button, the page loads Paddle’s checkout from Paddle’s servers. Paddle collects your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy and shares with us your name, email address, company, billing country and address, tax ID if given, and what you bought. We never receive your full card number. We use order details to issue and support your license, to send receipts and renewal notices, and to meet tax and accounting obligations.

4. Licenses and trials

To issue a license or a trial we use your name, email address and company, and the apps and license type. The request created by the Launcher’s Request a License command contains your name, email address, organization and any note you add; the computer’s name (which you can edit before sending); a machine identifier, which is a one-way hash of the computer’s name, Windows installation ID, platform and processor type; the platform, processor type and Launcher version; and the apps you asked for. The Launcher never sends the request itself: you copy it and send it to us. We use the machine identifier only to bind your license to that computer. The license we send back contains your organization, email address, licensed apps and expiry. We keep a record of every license we issue so we can replace it, move a seat, or answer questions about it. Licenses are checked on your computer; activating or using one does not contact us.

5. The apps

The apps process your data on your computer. None of them contains usage analytics, telemetry or advertising code, and crash reports are kept on your computer and never uploaded. The apps connect to the internet only in these cases:

Launcher

  • Update downloads, only when you click Install. The download server receives your IP address.

Puck

  • Anthropic (AI extraction and Claude OCR), only when you turn these features on, or when you have set an Anthropic API key for them with the ANTHROPIC_API_KEY environment variable. Puck shows what it will send before each request. Anthropic receives the page images or regions you select and the prompt, under your own Anthropic account.
  • jsDelivr content network, when you choose an OCR language that is not included with Puck. It receives your IP address and the language file requested.

Surveyor

  • Anthropic (Site Extraction), only when you start a Site Extraction run. Anthropic receives rendered views of the point cloud, the work-area box in project coordinates and the ground elevation, which together identify the site, under your own Anthropic account.

Pg-GPS

  • CARTO map tiles, whenever the map view is shown. CARTO receives your IP address and the map area around your receiver positions.
  • NOAA (CORS observations), IGS and UNAVCO (station lists), when you ask for reference stations or data. They receive your IP address and the stations and dates requested.
  • USGS elevation data, when you use the radio coverage planner. USGS receives your IP address and the area around the base location.

Collector

  • Your Trimble X7 scanners, during a capture session, over your local network only. Nothing goes to the internet.

CAD

  • No connections.

Surveyor’s built-in assistant runs on your computer and sends nothing. Anthropic’s own terms and privacy policy apply to anything you send it through these features.

On your computer, the apps keep the license file (with your organization and email address), lists of recent projects, logs that include file paths, local crash reports, your Windows user name in project restore points, and, in Collector, a journal of scanner serial numbers, the operator ID and a salted hash of the network adapter address. These stay on your computer unless you send them to us, for example in a support bundle.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business (for example, Paddle as our payment reseller, and our email delivery and hosting providers), under contracts that limit their use of it; when the law requires it; or as part of a merger or sale of our business. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. How long we keep it

We keep order and license records for as long as your license is active and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically [seven] years. Support conversations are kept for [three] years. Server logs are kept for [30] days.

8. Security

We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, and by keeping license-signing keys out of our public systems. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a purpose, by emailing [privacy@pg-core.com]. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have further rights, such as to receive your data in a portable form or to complain to a data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

10. Children

Our website and software are for professional use and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

11. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you contact us or buy from outside the United States, your information is processed in the United States [and by our service providers in the countries where they operate], with safeguards required by law.

12. Changes

We will post any change to this policy here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email.
